5 - Antioxidant Smoothie

Antioxidant Smoothie

We all know that consuming antioxidant foods every day is important. But have you ever thought of blending them all up in an antioxidant smoothie? It’s made with our new Dairyland Protein Beverage: made with Canadian milk, it provides 18 g of protein per 250 ml serving, and is a source of 9 essential nutrients. It’s that easy! A new breakfast staple.

The recipe’s this way!

How to Blend a Perfect Smoothie in 4 Easy Steps

1 - You're wondering what's the best smoothie base?

For an option twice as high in protein as regular milk, you can use Joyya Ultrafiltered Milk, which contains 18 g of protein per 250 ml - perfect to supplement an active lifestyle. Another good choice is our Microfiltered Milk that provides a delicious taste and stays fresh longer than regular milk. Or you could opt for Lactose-Free Milk, which is easier to digest with all the goodness for those who are lactose intolerant. Otherwise, try using Dairyland Organic Milk. Really, sky’s the limit!

2 - Choose fruits (and vegetables!) that go well together.

There are so many fruit pairings that still need to be discovered! And not to forget: smoothies are the occasion to consume bonus vegetables by mixing in spinach and kale (or beets)!

3 - Add protein!

Don’t forget to make your smoothie whole by adding a source of protein, such as Dairyland Cottage Cheese or Joyya Ultrafiltered Milk.

4 - Mix in a source of fibre.

Flax seeds, chia seeds, and hemp seeds are popular ones that, while highly nutritious, also blend in amazingly and enhance the texture of your smoothie.
